Synopsis

Five-year-old Tina stuffs herself with fatty food, determined to gain weight and donate bone marrow to save her blind mother, Jessica Sullivan, who has leukemia. Everyone misreads Tina's appetite as childish greed; she carries a child's stubborn hope. Years earlier Jessica lied about cheating and a lost pregnancy to leave her blind lover, Sanford Hughes, hiding her illness and secretly giving birth to Tina after donating her corneas. Now a powerful CEO, Sanford meets Tina by chance. His suspicious mother demands a DNA test. When Jessica briefly regains her sight and confronts the man she once loved, long-buried truths spill out, and the revelation that Tina is their child detonates fragile lies, forcing guilt, reckoning and a race to heal what was broken.

Acting sold every silent look and lie. This drama earns a spot on my favorites.

Love manifested as medicine, literally and painfully. Tina's weight gain plan added haunting realism.

Jessica's lie felt monstrous, but human too. The moral grayness made the story richer.
