Synopsis

Nancy Shelton, humiliated by a scoundrel ex, fabricates a relationship with Jeffrey Lester, Johnsburg's wealthiest man, as revenge. Jeffrey overhears and, intrigued, offers marriage, an arrangement meant to bring luck to his terminally ill grandmother. They strike a stark bargain: once the grandmother recovers, they will part. The contract is clear, but feelings are not. Behind Nancy's playful facade is a skilled healer; behind Jeffrey's pragmatism is unexpected tenderness. As the pretense continues, sparks fly and boundaries blur. When Jeffrey discovers Nancy is the legendary Dr. Raven he has been searching for, the fragile truce cracks into urgent questions of trust, duty, and desire. A marriage of convenience threatens to become true love.

Started as petty revenge, ended in aching tenderness and hope. Nancy surprised me with her courage.

Shipping Jeffrey and Nancy hard; their banter sparks real chemistry. I need more domestic scenes, please.

Agreement to separate after the grandmother heals felt realistic. Their small domestic moments sold the transition.
