The Outcast Heiress

The Outcast Heiress

Synopsis

When the Reed family locates their long-lost biological daughter, they discard Maya Reed, the girl they raised, without remorse. Homeless and betrayed, Maya is taken in by Marcus Ford's formidable grandmother, who gives her shelter and a job at Marcus' company. Forced into proximity with Marcus, Maya's guarded heart slowly opens as an awkward partnership turns to genuine affection. But every tender moment is shadowed by the looming revelation of Maya's true identity. Loyalties fray, secrets surface, and Maya must decide whom to trust: the family that betrayed her or the man who offers her a new home. The truth threatens to upend their fragile happiness and everything Maya has rebuilt.

Why did the Reed family act like villains so early? I wanted more scheming breakfasts and fewer melodramatic exits.
