Layla Nott adored Seth Upton since her teens and poured her vast inheritance into building the Upton Group, lifting his family to Yeldon's elite. Married in, her health faded. After a medical visit she returns to find Seth entangled with her stepsister Sharon Black, while his mother Susan watches and permits the betrayal.
