At a council hearing, Princess Reynolds shocks officials by buying a military-grade green helmet and an expensive "apple peeler" she says is for her husband. Nobles erupt: the empire needs 100 million to stop the Black Dragon, and one man shouts, "That's my inheritance!" They accuse her of selfishness, demand the funds, strip her title and order her expelled. Mr. Bellwood fiercely defends his wife's spending and threatens critics. The episode ends with Dee publicly humiliated and expelled while the capital still faces the Black Dragon and the money remains withheld.
