Aisle of Apocalypse: Checkout at the End of the World

Chris Leary inherits a failing corner shop and, desperate to fund his girlfriend's treatment, discovers the back door opens into other worlds. His first jump lands in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where he trades scarce food to survivors for gold and jewels, enough to wipe his debts in one run. Pushing farther, he breaches the immortal realm and bargains with the goddess Dark Lady: exquisite food for celestial medicine. The deal yields cures, but it carries a grim caveat, the apocalypse world's wealth is bound to the lives of its people. Confronted with that cost, Chris returns with elixirs, saves a survivor base, and seals a long-term trade partnership. A desperate scramble quietly becomes an empire: one shop, multiple worlds, and a trader who crosses them all.
