Assigned by Fate to Protect My Ice-Cold Betrothed - Episode 8

A young messenger barges in to warn Miss Smith that Yadiel Rainer pushed a forced engagement on her family: his followers cursed her father, her grandfather accepted the match under duress and later died, and Yadiel allegedly ordered a staged "hero rescue" that killed one of the messenger's brothers. He claims Heart-Eating Parasites were planted to stop them calling police. Alarmed, a man at the scene insists Miss Smith stay with him that night for protection; she reluctantly agrees. As she prepares to shower, sudden screams and frantic banging force him to shout, "Close the door!" leaving them trapped and the danger unresolved.
