She rushes to contact Jakob after being sent to Starry Corp, but her texts won’t go through and a friend says Mr. Longman is untouchable. Short on money, she refuses to smash her phone despite frustration and is told not to punish herself. At Starry Corp she’s immediately accosted by a higher-tier actress who boasts she blacklisted her, asks if the company threw her out, and mocks the bruise from a past slap. Cornered and publicly humiliated, she remains blocked from Jakob and must decide whether to fight for answers or walk away.
