After overhearing guests ridicule her as her wealthy husband's disposable toy, Diana flees the party to get some air. There, she is confronted by Kevin, a man from her past who insists she run away with him. Diana refuses, explaining she must stay for her sick mother's sake. Kevin angrily accuses her of marrying for money and tries to forcibly take her. As he attacks her, Diana struggles and cries out for her husband, Rudy, fearing Kevin's actions will provoke a deadly confrontation.
