Bricklaying for Six Years, My Goddess Proposes to Me

Bricklaying for Six Years, My Goddess Proposes to Me

Synopsis

Quinn Thorne once saved Sera Dutt from being drugged, a night that left him with half of his jade necklace taken by a bewildered Sera who mistook him for an antidote. Six years later, he toils on a Dutt Group construction site to pay his foster mother's mounting medical bills. Coworkers taunt him about his single life. Then a shattering moment: Sera appears with a little girl, Lila, who points at Quinn's matching jade and calls him Dad. The accusation, the token, and the cramped debts collide. Quinn must face the past he never expected to revisit, Sera's guarded truth, and an impossible claim that upends his quiet sacrifice. Tension spikes as loyalties and secrets threaten everything.

Surprisingly addictive and emotionally grounded. The setup is sharp and the jade reveal hooked me.

Small detail I loved: matching necklace halves triggered recognition. It felt logical and sweet after a six-year gap.

Coworkers mock him for being single? I wanted more snarky clapbacks from Quinn, plus Lila stealing scenes every time.
