Rhydian is found in water, his wounds unbandaged, by a woman he calls Mother. She urges him to rest and mentions his father's harsh actions were for the family's sake. Rhydian insists he is fine and asks her to leave the medicine and depart, as he feels he is losing control. Later, a different voice suggests someone is attracted to him and asks if they want it, to which the person agrees.
