After a desperate escape from pursuit, a person is confronted by someone who calls their actions reckless, revealing they intentionally caused Aiden to fall to flee unbeatable foes. To reclaim what is theirs, they accept immense risk. Guided to gather rare ingredients like a star beast core in Frostville, they are told the underground arena offers the fastest—and deadliest—path to wealth. Their attempt to sell a marked skin draws hostile attention from an academy student, who accuses them of wielding forbidden 'star eating black flame' and belonging to the Blackthorn lineage. Under threat of being frozen and interrogated, the person denies the accusation but refuses to reveal their teacher. The student, identifying themselves as the academy's top student, offers a provisional pass to enter the Academy but vows to kill them personally if they are indeed Blackthorn.
