Seven years ago, ordinary Emily learned her husband Vincent was the heir to a mafia clan. After Vincent fractured his arm in a car crash, his father demanded one condition for surgery: Vincent must divorce Emily. Vincent refused. Overhearing, Emily chose to leave so she would not hold him back, then was caught in a car accident. Vincent believed she had died and sank into grief. Emily survived and gave birth to their daughter Lily, but was left seriously ill. Years later Lily seeks treatment for her mother and accidentally meets Vincent. He does not know Lily is his child, nor that Lily's mother is Emily, and even speaks harshly to the little girl.
