During Princess Lorde's birthday celebration, she unexpectedly leaves the ballroom to seek out Helios, a man stripped of his divine title. Confronting him outside, she declares she has finally given up on another man, Demos, and invites Helios to dance with her. However, Helios refuses, insisting his fallen status would ruin her reputation and make her a laughingstock. He makes a firm decision to sever all ties with her to protect her social standing, leaving Lorde shocked and alone as she must return to the waiting guests.
