Sara Scott, 24, a waitress and delivery girl, juggles work while supporting her boyfriend Caleb through grad school after he promises to marry her when he graduates. At a celebratory gathering a suitor publicly proposes to Lina and angrily denies rumors of a fiancée, belittling Sara as a "country bumpkin" to win favor. Back at Lily's Noodle Shop, Lily urges Sara to look elsewhere. A breaking bulletin reports billionaire Tanner Luke's death and that his son Toby will inherit and return for the funeral. On her last delivery Sara is suddenly interrupted and whispers, "Oh no."
