Tonia Hays and her sister Lena struggle after their parents die. To spare Lena, Tonia accepts a blind date with Yandel Zane, grandson of Lady Zane, whom she once saved. Yandel suspects she is a gold digger, so he hides that he is the Zane Group CEO, pretends poverty, and marries her on the spot.
