Victor shows up unannounced at Princess Luna's residence because he felt uneasy. Minutes later Luna is summoned by His Majesty over an ambush at the border: the Vale Army's commander was injured and Matthew Vale is expected to lead reinforcements. In the meeting Luna reveals that Matthew only fronted; she was the true commander of the recent operation. His Majesty forbids her to go and orders her to stay in the capital. Back home, court members ask why she hasn't visited Gavin's temple; Luna says she despises him and would feel nothing if he died, leaving that grievance unresolved.
