The episode begins with a weak dragon who realizes they have been summoned as an F-rank contracted beast by Alicia Morse, a wealthy summoner who is disappointed in the dragon's low rank. Alicia’s rival, Bernard, mocks her for wasting valuable materials. To boost her other beast, Alicia decides to forcibly extract the dragon’s precious dragon core to enhance her B-rank beast, Thunder, evolving it into an A-rank Thunder Bear King. The dragon, now coreless and weakened, is downgraded to a salamander but activates a Devouring Evolution System, hinting at a potential path to regain power.
