At the registry, Yara asks to reissue her marriage certificate so she can adopt Tiana. The clerk exposes the document as fake: the system lists Yara as single and Trent Ford as legally married to Lynn Tanner. Shocked, Yara learns her picture-perfect wedding was a setup and that Trent's marriage was calculated. Her parents demand she marry Jesse and disown her when she refuses; Yara insists she'll prove her choice with a happy life and vows to make Trent love her.
