Synopsis

Penniless and desperate, hermit Mr. Quentin can no longer care for his prodigy Candy and entrusts her to York Smith, owner of the famed Ebony House. Fate flips when Candy cracks the legendary 'Dragon Game' that stumped masters for twenty years. Her unexpected triumph draws the Go King, Simon Yale, to issue a challenge; Candy meets each attack with cool, fearless precision until Simon, humbled, begs to become her disciple. The brief calm that follows peels back another layer: York confesses to Candy his secret ambition—to enter the Go Championship and to uncover the truth behind his wife's death. The stakes sharpen: glory, hidden grief, and a dangerous mystery bind teacher and student as they set out on their shared, high-stakes journey.
