The Master urges Candy to visit York Smith of Ebony House, who has plenty of food, and explains Go's place and the legendary True Dragon Strategy by Mr. Quentin. Candy brightens hearing the $50 million reward and thinks solving it could buy roast chickens. The Master says he "poured his heart" into the puzzle and that "she solved it." At York Smith's place someone cries, "Look! The True Dragon Strategy has been solved!" Everyone is stunned, plans suddenly uncertain.
