At Mr. Kerr's house a distraught woman storms in accusing Maeve of framing her father, ruining him, and burning her mother. Accusations boil over as Maeve's supporters call the dead woman delusional and beg for protection. The clash escalates when someone vows Maeve will pay with blood. Staff pry into Mr. Kerr's female visitors while Briar is mocked as only a secretary despite claiming to be the lady of the house. Mr. Kerr returns and demands Owen's whereabouts, calling him trouble; someone finds Owen and hisses, "What are you doing?"
