Wyomia returns to her family, sparking immediate tension with her father, Grayson, and a woman named Ingrid. They accuse Wyomia of being a jinx who brings chaos whenever she appears. Wyomia insists she is not a curse, declaring she could have stayed away if that were true. Her main reason for returning is to bury her mother's ashes in the Quinn family grave, but Ingrid vehemently opposes this and threatens to stop her as long as she lives.
