Lauren, heiress to Galaxy Group, spent eight years married to Carson and entrusted her fortune to his family. One afternoon at Xena's kindergarten pickup she sees Rose wearing the same outfit and carrying an identical bag. When Lauren inspects the bag and finds it counterfeit, suspicion turns to belief in betrayal. The alarm becomes real when Xena falls ill from food poisoning under her mother-in-law's care and Lauren discovers Carson and Rose at the hospital with their illegitimate child. Shock hardens into resolve.
