At their son's full-month banquet, Harry introduces his assistant Sarah to his worried parents, who accuse him of turning her into a 'new flame'—promoting her, defending her at work and humiliating his wife, Wendy. Arguments flare as Harry insists the matter is private and pleads with his parents to stay out of it. He also vows to protect Wendy's status as 'Mrs. Gould.' Instead of calming things, the family pressure and claims of betrayal force Wendy to make a hard decision. She looks at Harry and says, 'Harry, let's divorce,' leaving the celebration shattered and the marriage unresolved.
