Felix Lynch, a lone survivor bound to a Sect System, is ordered to recruit a detected target, Ivy Young, in a zombie‑ridden world. The system's recruitment condition is a three‑second kiss; Felix balks when he discovers Ivy is a decaying zombie. The system threatens refusal as abandonment, punishing him with three months at the Sect of Bliss as a cultivation vessel. To avoid that fate he prepares to comply. Just as he moves toward the zombie, another person seizes her and shouts, "Let me do it," leaving who will complete the task—and Felix's fate—uncertain.
