Xena Sholl returns to Awakening Day determined to uncover her parents' deaths. At the class ceremony, senior Fabron Lynn awakens as a 'Breeder' and is mocked as useless and poor; classmates taunt him and suggest he doesn't deserve Xena. Humiliated, Fabron abruptly breaks up, claiming they're worlds apart. As Xena reels from betrayal and public scorn, an Ultimate Support System detects discrimination, binds a God-tier Breeding System to the host, and issues a beginner quest: save a creature in an alley 100 meters ahead. The episode ends with Xena forced to act on this sudden mission.
