Aunt Ruth arrives with expensive clothes and accessories, claiming she wants to reclaim Tina after abandoning her. She and a relative pressure Tina to go home with promises of elite tutors, but Tina rejects the gifts and insists her dad can provide for her. The guests argue over money versus education, belittle Tina's father's qualifications, and leave. Back home Tina and her dad try to study, but his shaky basics become obvious. They decide it's time to bring Grandpa into this, leaving Tina's educational future unresolved.
