On Her Grace's wedding day she announces a grand ceremony at Serenity Sanctum tomorrow to name a new noble consort and asks who to invite. She singles out Maeve Reynolds, the wife of the Marquis of Everstead's heir, and orders a decree issued. Spence tells Maeve the emperor is promoting the consort at the celebration and that Her Grace personally invited her; Maeve reacts in surprise. Later Maeve tells Juliet, 'from now on you'll only kneel to me,' signaling a shift in status. With the decree pending, the court now awaits the ceremony that will name the noble consort.
