At a luxury mall Ian showers Macy with flowers and designer goods, promising to buy the diamond necklace even as she protests they can't afford it. He completes massive transactions—cashback deposits in the millions—and insists everything there will be hers once he's made it. Macy, relieved and impressed, compares Ian to Sean and begins to accept his attention. The mood shatters when a man in the crowd recognizes the woman as his wife, Ivy, storms over enraged and shouts, "How dare he touch my wife!", leaving the three on the verge of a public confrontation.
