At Gordon Clinic an argument erupts after a sudden firing: Willa accuses the dismissed man of echoing his father's theft of a missing Demerol vial; Calvin is fired and a colleague demands 90% of profits and to rename the practice 'Simon's Clinic.' Later Mr. Zimmer arrives with a deep tractor blade cut. Staff suspect tendon damage and urge transfer to Kindness Hospital, but Zimmer fears registration delays. Told the clinic can't handle it, Simon is warned he'll be blamed if it fails, yet says, "I can handle it." The episode ends as Simon prepares to treat him, result unresolved.
