Regent Lord drags a man to answer accusations. Scarface confesses he was paid ten taels to frame Ms. Yavine Xander, and the claim explodes into a public denunciation: Yavine is labeled disgraced and blamed for endangering the third branch. The Regent counts; someone admits guilt, then Eleanor is sentenced to thirty lashes amid frantic pleas. Yavine is ordered to follow the lord, but before her fate is settled the Regent shuts the matter down and commands Scarface's immediate execution — leaving Yavine and the third branch's survival unresolved.
