After Sophia Sanders returns from studying abroad, she admits to slashing overseas prices to push into foreign markets. That unilateral move forces company-wide budget cuts, so Charles strips Yara of international duties and hands the market to Sophia. Yara (Ms. Sullivan) protests that Charles has taken shares she earned; colleagues object but a critic is summarily dismissed. In a later planning meeting the board names Yara to lead the second-half international project, yet she warns Charles she may walk away and finally says she'll forgo the international market, leaving the company’s global plan unsettled.
