The Emperor Checks In - Episode 5

Emperor Edmund orders the Brocade Guard to confront Lucian, a rebellious noble threatening his rule. Despite a direct warning offering Lucian a final chance to submit, Lucian defiantly rejects exile and vows never to bow, escalating the conflict. Meanwhile, a faction within the court, led by Chancellor Vane and Grand Dowager Celeste, plots against Emperor Edmund, backing rival Lord Cedric. To counter Lucian’s growing power, Edmund plans to ally with Crown Prince Dain of Aven and recruit a feared Land Swordmaster, Kellan Wren. As alliances form and betrayals deepen, the emperor prepares for an inevitable showdown with Lucian’s forces, leaving the court's future uncertain.
