Quinn Edith is confronted in a place where patrons jeer him as 'trash', accuse him of divorce and he boasts 'only married women can get me excited.' Iris is introduced as a cousin and prodded about past feelings; Molly is accused of cheating. A manager fires someone—'You're fired!'—and Quinn says he won't work for that 'black company.' Mr. Maud orders Dutt to throw Quinn out, staff call him a 'sewer rat' and name him Quinn Edith, leaving him publicly humiliated and facing immediate expulsion.
