After guards take Irene away, the advisor urges the king to eliminate the captured vampire who made the transformation possible. The king approves its execution, revealing his true goal was not healing Irene but using the vampire's power to conquer wealth and immortality. The king coldly dismisses the creature's plea to spare Irene, stating he has nothing left to bargain, and suggests sending it to hell.
