The Story of Leila and Simon - Episode 1

Leila Toland, daughter of Duke Toland and childhood sweetheart of Ellis, returns hopeful to marry him, only to learn Ellis is missing in action and his family has sent a letter breaking their engagement. The Ruskin family blame Leila for Ellis's disappearance and reject her, calling her unworthy. Leila reveals she is pregnant with Ellis's child, but her father demands she take abortion medicine and marry someone else within three days to preserve family honor. When Leila tries to escape the harsh fate, she is pursued, until Simon Howard suddenly appears, offering to marry her, shifting her desperate situation.
