The Years Didn't Change Us - Episódio 1

Xavier arrives at a sanatorium after a car accident, paralyzed and mute, while his mother leaves him in staff care. Other children gossip and bully a solitary girl who talks to plants, calling her a freak and refusing to play. The girl keeps tending the greenery and tries to befriend newcomers. She approaches Xavier and quietly asks, "Do you want to play with me?" Another child blurts, "Are you mute?" Xavier remains silent, and the episode ends on that unanswered question—will he respond to the first friendly gesture?
