Sandra arrives at a large room in Mr. Wilde's house; he shows her in, promises to perfect everything and arranges for a maid to bring food while she settles. She remembers that in her last life her father and brothers treated her like a maid, and that Mr. Wilde, though almost a stranger, has been unusually kind. A sudden flashback interrupts: she runs as Jace closes in and threatens violence while she begs for mercy. Back in the room she forces out, "I'm safe now," but the violent memory leaves her shaken, ending the episode with her safety unresolved.
