On a busy street a woman snatches a child in broad daylight and the child's mother rushes to stop her. Justin and others have been searching every block for Zack and now fear the kidnapper may have already sold him; Justin blames himself for trusting a stranger. The abductor holds Zack hostage and orders, "Take the cash and walk," threatening his life if they refuse. Accusations flare when Lena is accused of selling Zack and the mother shouts, "I'll kill you!" The episode ends on the unresolved ransom demand and the immediate choice to pay or risk Zack's death.
