Wow! The Legendary Street Wife - 第5集

Gareth returns home to introduce his girlfriend, Evelyn Langford, to his mother, Mrs. Cadwell. Neighbors gush over Evelyn’s city manners; Evelyn says her father owns a factory and her mother leads a leisurely life, prompting congratulatory talk about comfort ahead for Mrs. Cadwell. The mood jolts when a young neighbor, Emily, interrupts: "You promised that I could marry Gareth once I grew up." Emily’s reminder of a childhood promise reframes the visit, putting Gareth’s announcement on edge. The episode ends with Mrs. Cadwell and Gareth confronted by Emily’s claim, forced to decide how to respond.
