Evelyn Langford, founder and CEO of the Horizon Group and famed Car Queen, has built an empire and a spotless public image. Wanting to give back, she vows to find and uplift people of true character. She sheds her title, disguises herself as a beggar, and walks into the city to test strangers. The experiment is stark and unforgiving: anyone who helps the ragged woman will be offered wealth and opportunity. On the pavement she faces raw human choices, from indifference to quiet mercy, and confronts her own expectations. As her secret mission flirts with exposure, Evelyn must decide how much she will risk to reward virtue and whether charity can withstand scrutiny.
