Ashes of a Family - Episode 1

On the roof of Havencrest Hospital a kidnapper holds a hostage and demands cash. A late courier arrives with a delivery for Ms. Yvonne Jones and, oblivious at first, insists on a signature. He negotiates with the kidnapper—covering while the hostage signs—and takes a photo for proof. When the standoff escalates the courier impulsively intervenes and frees the hostage. Afterwards he slips away to his daughter's birthday, hailed by bystanders, but is recognized by a wealthy man as his estranged son who spurned the family fortune, leaving the father furious and the rift unresolved.
