After returning from a recuperation trip, Grandma notices Mya is missing from the family gathering. She learns Mya was driven out by Cody, sparking suspicion about Cody's motives. Family members explain that Mya’s behavior changed following her leg injury, becoming violent and destructive, which justified Cody’s actions. Grandma, however, refuses to believe Mya has turned disruptive and suspects she is being falsely accused and bullied. She demands Mya return for the upcoming birthday banquet to witness her true character. Cody faces a threat to his position if he mistreats Mya further, leaving the family on edge as tensions mount before the banquet.
