Synopsis

To save her ailing mother, andrologist Dorothy is forced into marriage with Jerome, the capital's wealthiest man. On their wedding night she meets 'Samuel,' a softer figure who claims to be Jerome's brother. Dorothy is thrust into a tangled family conspiracy and a baffling case of split identity, torn between the cold, domineering Jerome and the gentle, persistent Samuel. As she digs deeper, she uncovers the devastating truth: seventeen years earlier Jerome suffered his brother's kidnapping and death, and his psyche created the Samuel persona to survive. The investigation reveals Jerome's uncle as the mastermind. Dorothy and Jerome confront him, and through danger and confession Dorothy helps Jerome face his trauma and fuse his fractured selves. Their struggle yields a tentative, hard-won peace.

Dual personality portrayal was nuanced and believable. Direction handled trauma and conspiracy with careful restraint.

I cried during Jerome's breakdown, it felt raw. Dorothy's patience healed him, beautifully depicted.

Honestly, Samuel is my comfort pick, no shame. Jerome needs therapy and a spa day.
