Blood and Dust: The Last Rider

Exiled a decade ago on false treason charges, former Federal Cavalry captain Eli returns to Nikko Town. He finds warlord Dirk massacring townsfolk to control a priceless mineral vein. Teaming with his loyal comrade Karen and ranger Lena, Eli launches a rebellion to clear his name. Their final stand exacts a heavy price: Karen sacrifices herself to breach enemy defenses, allowing Eli to finally slay Dirk and win his exoneration. Yet, with justice served, a disillusioned Eli turns his back on the Federation, choosing the solitary freedom of the desert wastes instead.
