Captain at Eight - Episode 5

At 33,000 feet the cockpit windshield shatters and peels away, throwing an aircraft into an emergency. The crew scramble as autopilot disconnects, spoilers and window heating fail, and a snow-capped mountain looms – aircraft must climb. A boy, Theo, wakes and unexpectedly enters the pilot's command; controllers send squawk 7700. The right engine starts smoking and catches fire, forcing single-engine flight. Crewmembers confirm Theo's inputs were correct and that one engine can keep them aloft, but only with assistance. The episode ends with someone answering, "I'll help you," leaving the mountain crossing unresolved.
