Alicia Bennett arrives as the new secretary and is led to the secretary's office. Coworkers immediately push her around—claim a seat, order her to make coffee, and call her "newbie." One coworker claims to be the CEO's wife's cousin and threatens to have Mr. Clark fire her if she refuses. Others whisper that Alicia is "pretty," "innocent," or a "jinx," increasing scrutiny.
