Climbing Into the Flame - Épisode 1

At a private dinner where the city's top families gather to welcome Skyler Fleming, a man presents his fiancée, Sonia Weston, as an exhibit and asks her to play music. Mid-performance a string snaps and guests call it bad luck. Her fiancé publicly shames Sonia—calling her stiff and boring—and tells Skyler, "I'll make sure she never plays again," even offering Skyler the chance to teach her a lesson. Accusations of shamelessness and disgrace escalate into public humiliation. Sonia is left exposed and awaiting whether Skyler will punish her, the immediate threat unresolved.
