The woman asserts she is Howard's legally registered wife and declares she is there to claim her position and power. Howard arrives, confirms her status as his wife, and warns that disrespecting her means disobeying him. He orders the challenger to leave and grants his wife the master bedroom. Despite his support, a member of the household privately vows the newcomer will be tested and expelled within three months if she fails, while she confidently deflects further scorn from another resident, suggesting she is not an easy target.
